Many student organizations have opportunities to gain hands-on experience in your field of study. Honors societies recognize students based on academic excellence and achievement. Virginia Western recognizes the Honors Societies listed on this page. If you receive an invitation to an honor society that is not listed here and have questions about its legitimacy, please contact the Student Activities Coordinator.

Amateur Radio and Electronics Club at Virginia Western
Encourages an understanding of and interest in amateur radio. Provides equipment and training for those interested in amateur radio.

Compass Christian Fellowship Prayer and Bible Study
Meets weekly for bible study and prayer. Meets to encourage each other and to grow in our daily walks with the Lord. All current students are welcome.

Ambassadors represent Virginia Western on campus tours, outreach, and information tables. Ambassadors participate in leadership training and help new students get oriented to the college.
