Surgical Technology (AAS)
We are excited to offer this program, which is designed to prepare students as entry-level Surgical Technologists.听 The program combines the use of surgical instruments, skills and techniques with the theoretical knowledge required to perform as a Surgical Technologist in the operating room. This program will prepare for practice听 in hospital operating rooms, ambulatory surgical care centers, eye centers, dental surgery centers, sterilization processing departments, endoscopy departments, organ procurement and surgical sales representatives.

The 分分六合彩 Surgical Technology Lab is conveniently located on the 6th floor of the Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital building on 101 Elm Ave SE. This lab contains 2 separate mock operating rooms stocked with working OR beds, manikins, and a wide variety of equipment and supplies to provide students with a well-rounded lab experience to prepare them for upcoming clinical rotations. Additionally, the Surgical Technology labs have an ancillary classroom with AV equipment for hands on lessons, as well as general and specialty instrumentation. Students receive consistent instruction on the hands-on skills necessary to function as a Surgical Technologist and are given the autonomy to practice these skills in a supervised lab setting.
